Overview
Osborn is seeking an entry level Structural Engineer in our Detroit office location. The ideal candidate would have familiarity with structural engineering concepts and ideas and a curiosity and interest in learning more about the discipline.
Osborn is a fully integrated, multi‑disciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of 350+ professionals who provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and life safety, technology engineering, transportation, and commissioning. - Assist Project and Senior engineers to assemble structural work products.
- Design new building structures as well as structural alterations, renovations, and additions to existing buildings.
- Prepare structural integrity and assessment reports.
- Design and detail structures, including calculations and computer modeling, for steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structures.
- Assist in preparing design deliverables for SD, DD, and CD level documents.
- Coordinate with Architectural, Electrical, and Mechanical drawings and attend coordination meetings.
- Perform site reviews and construction administration services during the construction phase.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Current EIT registration, or desire to register as EIT with the goal to become a PE.
- Experience with AutoCAD/Revit preferred.
