Daily Responsibilities- Govern System 3 and 4 processes as per ASPICE with support from SW and HW architects, system analysts and the requirements manager.
- Assist with the creation of the System Architectural Design Specification based on customer and system‑level requirements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including hardware electrical, software, mechanical design and testing, to define the system architecture and its interfaces.
- Perform technical risk management for the overall product as system of interest (SOI), its elements and components without losing perspective of the vehicle architecture.
- Support new program acquisition and current program redesign changes. Plan and oversee system‑level integration and testing with support from the overall test manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or similar; self‑motivated engineer with a systems mindset and strong sense of responsibility.
- 5+ years of accumulated relevant experience in automotive ECU development under HW electrical, software, mechanical and test disciplines, preferably in Body Products: BCM, CCU, CCM, SCM, DSM, Zone Controllers, etc.
- Great modeling skills to analyze needs‑and‑wants, formal requirements, and use‑cases.
- Excellent communication and human interaction skills to collaborate with local and international, intercultural stakeholders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to analyze complex systems and abstract perspectives to simplify communication with stakeholders.
- Interest, ability and willingness to collaborate in‑person in the Detroit metropolitan area and travel domestically and internationally.
- 5+ years leading the architectural development of automotive embedded products.
- Prior exposure to positional topics and tools such as AUTOSAR, ASPICE, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, FMEA.
- Experience with CAN/Vector tools and Matlab.
- INCOSE CSEP or equivalent.
