• Interface with manufacturing and maintenance to resolve welding systems issues.
• Program robots, pedestal welders, and all other types of welding related equipment.
• Assist Quality Assurance department in maintaining welding integrity.
• Train, coach and mentor the welding process for weld engineers, manufacturing and skilled trades colleagues.
• Direct and/or participate in root cause analysis and problem solving activities (e.g. 8D reports, department meetings, etc.).
• This role reports to the Maintenance Manager.

• Bachelor's degree in weld engineering/technology from a four‑year college or university; five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands‑on experience in manual and automated welding processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Highly desired skills in resistance spot welding, drawn arc stud welding, gas metal arc welding, adhesive/sealer systems (Nordson & Johnstone), dispenser vision systems (Coherix), weld timers (WTC & Bosch), robotic programming (Fanuc/Motoman/Yaskawa), weld shielding gas technologies, etc.
• Electrical enclosures, power requirements for welding, and testing requirements.
• Customer welding specification and testing requirements.
