Location: Houghton, MI; and available in MSG offices in Michigan or Ohio.
RoleStructural Detailer
Overview – What You’ll Do- Produce accurate, construction-ready structural details for bridges and culverts.
- Develop detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Open Roads Designer (Micro Station).
- Translate engineering designs into precise, buildable plans for construction teams.
- Assist engineers in bridge and culvert projects, ensuring plans meet MDOT and client requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation and track revisions to ensure project accuracy.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting transportation engineers and designers.
- 4+ years of experience as a structural detailer or CAD drafter in transportation/structural projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Open Roads ORD (Micro Station).
- Experience in bridge and culvert design documentation.
- Familiarity with MDOT or MDOT LAP standards.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and other team members.
