Department: Transportation

Location: Houghton, MI; and available in MSG offices in Michigan or Ohio.

Structural Detailer

• Produce accurate, construction-ready structural details for bridges and culverts.
• Develop detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Open Roads Designer (Micro Station).
• Translate engineering designs into precise, buildable plans for construction teams.
• Assist engineers in bridge and culvert projects, ensuring plans meet MDOT and client requirements.
• Maintain organized documentation and track revisions to ensure project accuracy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, supporting transportation engineers and designers.

• 4+ years of experience as a structural detailer or CAD drafter in transportation/structural projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Open Roads ORD (Micro Station).
• Experience in bridge and culvert design documentation.
• Familiarity with MDOT or MDOT LAP standards.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers and other team members.
