About the roleSupport Westinghouse’s mission to provide clean energy solutions by managing materials for prefabrication, testing, and installation activities.
Responsibilities- Ensure material is procured, staged, and available for prefab, testing, and installation activities.
- Review part holds and coordinate with planning for items that are discontinued.
- Monitor part holds and purchase orders to identify material that will need to be expedited or sourced differently.
- Work with multiple work‑groups on issues that arise to find resolution.
- Monitor daily inventory reports for exceptions.
- Train others on the Materials Management system for supported facilities.
- Track material outages and report to management.
- Attend outage meetings to understand scope of work/materials.
- Attend outage hit‑team meetings.
- Submit Maximo Engineering Requests for new materials.
- Close out Engineering Requests after review of new item creation and planning.
- Identify parts with long lead/procurement time for outage teams.
- Vet all materials considered for installation to ensure item numbers are created per procedure.
- Approve Maximo Purchase Requisition s through the proper approver(s).
- Communicate obsolete items identified by buyer to outage teams.
- Provide recommended replacements for obsolete parts.
- Provide process‑improvement ideas.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of experience with Bill of Material, Material Requests, Catalog Identification Numbers, Spare Parts, Inventory List, or Work Breakdown Structure.
- Knowledge of staging and tracking materials, reading and interpreting design and procurement specifications.
- Experience with Maximo (Inventory, Purchasing, Procurement, Work Management) desirable, not required.
- Must pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD products), and employment testing.
- Candidate local to the area.
Hourly pay range: $35 – $60 (depending on experience, qualifications, and skills). Many positions qualify for benefits including:
