Product Development Engineer / Mechanical Design Engineer
Upper Midwest | Full-Time | Hybrid
Why You Should Apply- Base salary: $70,000-$130,000 depending on background and experience

- Design mechanical components and assemblies for new and existing products
- Conduct FEA, DFMEA, tolerance analysis, and material selection
- Create detailed 3D models and drawings using Solid Works
- Collaborate with production and supply chain teams on manufacturability and cost optimization
- Participate in lab and field testing, design reviews, and continuous improvement efforts
- Develop technical documentation and support cross-functional projects
- Be able to do the job as described
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related field required
- Ideally 5 or more years of design engineering experience with product development process and creation of engineering bills of materials
- Strong proficiency with Solid Works and mechanical design fundamentals
- Ability to analyze and apply functional tolerances including using Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience using and interpreting structural FEA results
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and an inquisitive personality with a passion for how things work
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross‑team collaboration
