Project Engineer I – Water

Join Spicer Group as a full‑time Project Engineer I in the Water Resources department at our Dundee and Bingham Farms office.

We are seeking a candidate who will uphold our core values—commitment to growth, great client relationships, excellent services, and integrity in all we do—and who will plan, design, and manage water resource projects to ensure efficient and sustainable use of water resources.

• Conduct site investigations and surveys to assess water resource needs and constraints.
• Develop project plans, specifications, and cost estimates for water resource projects.
• Design and implement stormwater management facilities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including engineers, scientists, and government officials—to ensure project success.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule to ensure timely completion.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in public meetings and consultations to gather feedback and address community concerns.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in water resources engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and other relevant software.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of water resource management principles and practices.
