Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

Minimum of five years of quality related experience

Minimum of one year of leadership experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or in a technical related field

Aerospace investment casting quality/engineering/manufacturing experience

Working knowledge of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100, NADCAP)
Familiarity with turbine engine components

Experience reading, analyzing, and interpreting common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community

Experience leading/supporting the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery

Experienced in PPAP and APQPExperience conducting performance appraisals of direct reports

Ability to effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization – shop floor, direct reports, and management

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables

Experience using and training in the following quality tools – root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPCStrong computer skills

The Quality Engineering Leader resides in Whitehall Plant 3 and reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager. The Quality Leader provides Howmet Aerospace, Whitehall Casting with a quality focus in all of their employees through a commitment to comply with all internal and external requirements.
