Quality Manager/Metallurgist
The Quality Manager/Metallurgist is responsible for assuring that all castings meet the customer’s specifications and expectations for performance.
Responsibilities- Serves as a voice of the customer ensuring that the company addresses customer quality issues.
- Serves as management representative for Quality System.
- Lead department managers in problem solving exercises to drill to root cause.
- Ensures that the company and its suppliers provide products that exceed customer quality expectations.
- Contributes to the overall success of the Company by contributing ideas, sharing expertise, and supporting the implementation of innovative programs, processes and procedures that improve performance and productivity.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Metallurgy or Quality Management Preferred
- Experience in a metallurgical engineering or metallurgist capacity
- Previous experience in the following areas: foundry manufacturing, quality, technical customer service, management of outside suppliers or subcontractors
