Summary

Process requests for table fills/credits and slot machine jackpots. Perform “even money” exchanges with patrons and employees. Have a thorough knowledge of, and comply with, all cage policies and procedures. Record and report daily cash transactions and maintain an even balance. Provide excellent customer service.

Essential Job Functions
  • Safeguard assets
  • Maintain strict compliance with cage policies and procedures
  • Process requests for table fills, credits, slot machine jackpots as needed
  • Verify bank withdrawals
  • Provide all Casino Cashiers with currency and currency equivalents to maintain imprest amounts
  • Perform “even money” exchanges of currency, chips, and coins with patrons
  • Process loans and maintain required paperwork
  • Execute all open/close duties of the cage as needed
  • Assist with routine maintenance of cage area and equipment
  • Maintain confidential communications with management regarding financial information, policy violations, and employee relations
  • May be required to work as a Casino cashier as needed
  • Perform shift close out of all transactions on the computer system, or manually if needed, in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate high professionalism and enthusiasm throughout your shift
  • Verify Money from Hard Count and Soft Count
  • Verify night deposit
  • Ensure Casino Cashiers submit correct paperwork to Main Bank
  • Show willingness to cross‑train and support related operations areas
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Skills & Abilities

Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be a team player with a positive attitude. Highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Able to complete tasks and projects timely by prioritizing obligations. Capable of working with a variety of personalities while remaining impartial. Responds to supervisory guidance and accepts constructive criticism. Quick to adjust to a changing work environment, flexible to change.

Excellent math and calculator skills.

Education & Experience

Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Must have previous Casino cashier experience.

Other Details

Supervisory responsibilities:

None.

Equipment:
Desktop computer, Jetsort coin counters, currency counters, coin wrappers, TITO kiosk machines.

Physical demands:
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. following proper lifting standards. May also need to reach, bend, stretch, kneel, crawl, lift and carry on occasion. Repetitive walking, standing, or bending for long periods of time.

Mental demands:
Must effectively handle stressful situations while staying focused and professional. Must manage difficult people without losing perspective. Must work productively under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.

Working conditions:

Must be able and willing to work in a crowded, loud smoking environment. Must handle constant surveillance. May be required to work in small, enclosed spaces. Must follow all safety policies, procedures and standards set by OSHA.

Native American and Tribal Preference will apply. Must pass a background investigation and a drug urinalysis as a condition of employment. Must be willing to work flexible hours and take on additional responsibilities as asked. Must adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality.
