Cage Shift Supervisor - Petersburg at Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland
OverviewWith our rapid projected expansion, Live! Casino & Hotel Brand seeks the right talent to grow with the organization and drive our future success. The Cage Shift Supervisor is accountable for operating the cage department on a shift basis. Supervises all cage, main bank, and chip bank personnel to ensure guests have an enjoyable gaming experience.
Responsibilities- Maintain working knowledge of cage operations, internal functions, controls and software.
- Communicate pertinent information to team members regarding policy or schedule changes.
- Ensure efficiency and accurate performance standards are met, including paperwork and inventory controls for various bank, cage checks, and currency orders.
- Provide outstanding guest service and assist team members with questions about variances, disputes, counterfeit issues, and internal control violations.
- Maintain professional rapport and confidentiality when communicating with other departments (IT, Security, Surveillance, etc.).
- Train and develop team members in cage operations and monitor business flow to create efficient training, break, and shift schedules.
- Track and record HR duties accurately (LOA’s, PTO time, early outs, special requests).
- Assist the Cage Shift Manager with any additional duties as assigned.
- Analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
- Read complex documents and understand state and local tax, banking codes, gaming laws and regulations.
- Solve complex problems.
- Distinguish between colors.
- Maintain a flexible schedule.
- 1–2 years of experience in casino cage operations or banking preferred.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
- College degree or some secondary education preferred.
- Ability to secure and maintain licensure required by Virginia Gaming Control Board or applicable regulatory entity.
- Present self in a well-groomed, friendly, and professional manner.
- Stoop, bend, squat, stand 50%, walk 50%, bend/lift up to 75 lbs., pull/push up to 75 lbs. with help, use stairs and elevators.
If an applicant has been convicted of a misdemeanor or felony involving unlawful conduct of wagering or other gaming-related offenses, they will be unable to license.
