Client located in the NY Metro area is actively searching for a full-time Construction Accounting Manager. This is an urgent requirement and client is ready to conduct immediate interviews for well-qualified candidates.
Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000 per year

As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the President and driving business outcomes. Your key responsibilities include financial planning and control while providing essential guidance and support to operational teams. This position reports to the Operating Unit President and Regional Controller.
Primary Responsibilities:- Supervision: Oversee accounting and administrative personnel.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare work in progress reports, attend operations meetings, and monitor project work in progress schedules. Collaborate with estimators and project team members to adjust cost estimates.
- Financial Statements: Prepare monthly financial statements and perform account reconciliations.
- Tax Compliance: Prepare sales and use tax returns, process payroll, and prepare payroll tax reports. Manage human resources issues.
- Inventory Oversight: Oversee physical inventories.
- Insurance and Tax Reporting: Handle the reporting for the annual insurance renewal and audit. Manage all applicable tax reporting to the corporate office.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3 years of related experience, preferably in a construction or job‑costing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and maintain effective relationships with employees at all organizational levels in a team-oriented environment.
