Financial Manager
A great UHY client is seeking a Division Controller to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong controllership experience working in a manufacturing plant environment and a Bachelors degree in accounting.
The Division Controller role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Position Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus six years’ experience with at least three years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent.
- Completion of the CMA, CPA, or MBA program.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the fundamental doctrines, theories, principles, and terminology of accounting and finance.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing company, including working knowledge of operations controlling systems, cost estimating systems, financial measurement and evaluation techniques and product pricing/market strategies.
- Experience in departmental administration and supervision of other employees.
- Demonstrated high degree of analytical and evaluation skills.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate a vision, educate individuals and teams, and influence decisions.
- Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of the data processed.
- Working knowledge of financial and non-financial measurements systems, lean manufacturing practices and cost management systems strongly preferred.
- Ability to establish goals and guide strategic and operational planning in the finance organization.
- Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
- Experience with SAP and HFM.
Collaborate with the General Manager to define and execute the plant’s strategic direction. Establish and monitor key financial metrics to guide business decisions and support long-term goals.
Lead the development and management of business plans and rolling forecasts, integrating both quantitative and qualitative financial insights. Ensure plans are effectively implemented in coordination with management, with a strong focus on achieving budget targets.
Performance Evaluation & ImprovementAnalyze financial and operational results, including costs, budgets, and trends. Identify opportunities to enhance profitability, optimize asset utilization, and improve financial controls. Provide actionable recommendations to management for effective decision-making.
Risk & Opportunity ManagementProactively identify financial risks and opportunities, advising management on strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on growth areas.
Oversee the administration and continuous improvement of financial systems and controls, including Activity-Based Management, financial evaluation frameworks, and planning/reporting processes.
Lead and supervise the finance department, encompassing accounting and controlling functions, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
Consultation & ReportingProvide expert financial guidance to operational and departmental managers by interpreting financial reports and statements. Investigate financial variances and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Compliance & SupportEnsure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations and perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.
