Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in a multi‑faceted role that can include a combination of the following: retail dispensing, providing pharmacy services to adult foster homes and a long‑term care facility, and outpatient clinical Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services. This position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple settings, providing impactful patient care and contributing to the success of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities- Dispense medications accurately for retail, adult foster home, and long‑term care patients, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide specialized pharmacy services for adult foster homes and long‑term care facilities, including medication packaging, delivery coordination, patient consultations, and medication reviews.
- Conduct outpatient Medication Therapy Management (MTM) sessions using the Outcomes platform to optimize medication regimens, enhance adherence, and improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes and resolve any clinical concerns.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock of pharmaceuticals and supplies while adhering to all regulatory standards.
- Provide immunizations and wellness services to promote preventive health in our community.
- Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a positive team dynamic and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and state pharmacy laws.
- Engage with customers to offer personalized recommendations and build trust through exceptional service.
- Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing.
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) is a plus. - At least 2 years of retail or community pharmacy experience preferred. Experience in long‑term care pharmacy a plus. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Pioneer Rx or similar system) and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with MTM services and platforms like Outcomes is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centered focus.
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
