Work Schedule and Shift Premiums

Full time (Days) 7am-7pm | 36 hours/week, including weekends on a rotation

2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour

• Retirement: 403(b) with match

Qualifications

• Associates or better degree in nursing
• Current Michigan RN license, could possibly work as a GN while obtaining your Michigan endorsement
• BLS certification required (available at Hillsdale Hospital)
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire (available at Hillsdale Hospital)
• 1 year of medical surgical or CCU experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and/or situation, appropriate to the age of the patient
• Analyze the assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis/problem lists and create an individualized plan of care
• Effectively implement the individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary team
• Evaluate outcomes and adjust the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
• Participate in unit specific and/or hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance the quality of nursing practice at Hillsdale Hospital
• Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team within own department and with all departments to create and maintain a healthy work environment and provide superior patient care
• Mentor/Precept new staff when appropriate
• Demonstrate a commitment to acting as a patient advocate. Deliver care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Actively preserve patient autonomy, dignity, and rights
• Identify and address the educational and discharge follow-up needs of the patient from admission through discharge making referrals appropriately
