The Munson Healthcare Recovery  Coachisa memberof thebehavioral healthteamand works with patients with Substance-Use Disorderswho have been referredthroughout Munson Healthcare facilities.

The Recovery Coachis responsible for supporting and assistingpatientsto navigate treatmentoptionsandbuildrecovery supports in the early stages of recovery.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 Continuous years in Substance Use Disorder recovery and have a willingness to share their recovery story as a tool in helping others.
• Eitherpossess the Michigan Department of Health/Human Services (MDHHS)
  Recovery Coach certification and/or the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hire. CCARRecovery Coach certification prior to 2018 may be considered in lieu of MDHHS Certification.
• Eitherpossesor obtain the Michigan Board of Addiction Professionals “Certified Peer Recovery Mentor” Certification within 12 months of hire.
• Additional training requirements within 90 days of hire include Ethical Considerations (16 hours), Intro to Recovery Advocacy (12 hours), and Recovery Coaching and Professionalism (12 hours)
• Either posses or obtain the Michigan Community Health Worker Certification/Internship within 24 months of hire
• Preferred personal experience in navigating complex Substance Use Disorders, co-occurring disorder(s) systems of care and how to navigate those systems.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
