Are you a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a focus on Emergency Medicine? This locum tenens position in a scenic region of Michigans Upper Peninsula offers a chance to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment.

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)
• Start Date: January 10, 2025
• Duration: Ongoing weekend coverage with orientation required prior to the first shift.
• Schedule:
  • Weekends in January (1 PM to 9 PM shifts)
  • Dates include 1/11-1/12, 1/18-1/19, and 1/25-1/26
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (no call).
• Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient with some inpatient admissions.
• Patient Volume: Average of 36 patients per day in the Emergency Department.

• License: Must hold an active Michigan state license.
• Certifications:
  • Board Certification required.
  • BLS certification mandatory.
• Experience: Strong preference for providers with prior Emergency Medicine experience.
• EMR System: Familiarity with Medi Tech is a plus.
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days; temporary privileges available for quick start.

• Support Staff: Emergency Department physicians and RNs will be available for collaboration.
• Admissions: Average of 3 inpatient admissions per shift.
• Travel & Lodging: Assistance available if needed.
• Trauma Level: Level 3.
