Hospital | Physical Therapist Travel Physical Therapist – Chelsea, MI

Join a hospital physical therapy team as a Travel Physical Therapist in Chelsea, Michigan. This 14-week travel contract offers a collaborative acute-care environment, consistent daytime hours, and the opportunity to help patients improve mobility, strength, and independence throughout their rehabilitation journey. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,970–$2,110
• Position: Travel Physical Therapist (PT)
• Contract Duration: Approximately 14 weeks
• Contract Dates: November 2, 2026–February 7, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital physical therapy department
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Coverage: Minimum of two weekend shifts per month
• Holiday Coverage: Additional coverage may be needed around Thanksgiving and Christmas
• Documentation System: Epic

• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of Michigan
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• At least 1 year of professional Physical Therapist experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Prior hospital or acute-care physical therapy experience preferred
• Previous Epic documentation experience preferred
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and patient-centered care skills

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on clinical findings and functional goals
• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility strategies, and discharge recommendations
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge plans accurately in Epic
• Promote safe patient mobility and support quality outcomes throughout the hospital stay
• Provide scheduled weekend and holiday coverage as needed
