This Human Resources Business Partner position is designed to positively impact Live! Casino & Hotel by streamlining HR processes, collaborating with HR and operational departments, and enhancing employee relations. HRBP’s will help identify, develop and groom team members for career advancement.
Responsibilities- Strategic Partner:
- Adjust HR strategies to respond to changing needs
- Identify new business strategies
- Identify talent issues before they affect the business
- Develop the next generation of leaders
- Prioritize across HR needs
- Identify critical HR metrics
- Review and critique performance reviews, assist with ratings, and help managers craft constructive feedback.
- Interview finalists for management roles.
- Collaborate with recruitment to craft job descriptions and identify staffing requirements.
- Operations:
- Assess employee attitudes
- Communicate organizational culture, policies, and procedures
- Ensure HR programs align with company culture
- Keep managers and team members updated on HR initiatives
- Track trends in employee behavior
- Attend meetings to represent company philosophy
- Coordinate employee files
- Review exit interviews and summarize for retention strategies
- Investigate payroll questions and disputes
- Team Member Mediator:
- Manage conflict between team members
- Investigate employee relations issues and coach management on disciplinary actions
- Respond to organizational changes
- Manage competing and complex personalities
- Resolve political problems in execution of objectives
- Review files for employment verification requests
- Emergency Responder:
- Respond quickly to complaints and line manager questions
- Prepare for different situations
- Respond to team member and manager needs
- Proficient with all Microsoft software products
- Experience using Kronos Workforce (preferred)
- Analyze and interpret operational results
- Solve complex problems
- Perform assigned duties under pressure
- Flexible work schedule
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Initiative and resilience; judgment in escalating matters up the HR chain of command
- 5‑7 years of HR experience, generalist, including staffing/recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, training, and development
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field; PHR or SPHR preferred. MS or MBA preferred.
- Must comply with all state gaming regulations and obtain a license if required.
- Casino over 300,000 sq ft; requires ability to move about with urgency
- 5% standing, 25% walking, 50% keyboarding, 70% sitting
- Use stairs and elevators multiple times per day
- 24/7 operation; extended hours to meet team member schedules
