Help Desk Technician
Department: Information Technology Status: Full Time, Non-union, 40 hours per week Wages/Grade: Hourly range $23.50 - $27.03 Grade 5 (steps 1-5)
A Help Desk Technician serves as the first contact with users that need technical assistance via phone, email, chat or ticketing system. The position is supervised by the Director of Information Technology. Assists with the installation, maintenance and support of County-owned computers and software. Responsibilities include troubleshooting problems, PC and laptop configuration, maintaining and repairing information technology equipment and performing installation of software and hardware for all Cass County Offices and Departments, the Cass County Medical Care Facility, and Cass County Road Commission.
Performs other duties and responsibilities to support County operations and its partners as directed. Hourly wage range is $23.50 - $27.03. Requirements include an associate’s degree in computer information systems (CIS), or related field, a valid driver’s license, and vehicle to travel between buildings.
