** POSITION OVERVIEW
** Responsible for daily operations and ongoing projects related to mission critical applications and databases both on premise and in the cloud; including the maintenance, uptime, and performance of ERP and business processes.

This role is working onsite in Zeeland, MI in an office.
** WHAT YOU’LL DO
*** Design, create and implement database systems based on end user requirements.
* Provide ongoing technical support for global database deployment in multiple geographic regions.
* Provide incidence support to IT Help Desk and application users as needed.
* Provide technical leadership on projects that require database administrator resources.
* Work with cross-functional departments to develop optimal architecture and deployment strategies.
* Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide solutions.
* Manage various projects within the allotted timeline and budget.
* Implement recovery strategy and execute disaster recovery exercises as needed.
* Perform database and application patching as defined by vendors while adhering to internal change management process requirements.
* Perform instance cloning for testing and validation purposes.
* Provide on-call 24/7 support for mission critical production systems.
* Monitor production systems and perform system tuning as needed.
* Work with IT infrastructure on administration of operation systems.
* Assist with developing and maintaining data security processes.
* Perform cloud infrastructure and applications provisioning and support.
* Other duties as assigned.

* Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity and confidentiality with respect to company matters.  
** WHAT TO BRING
*** A 4-year degree in computer related field.
* 5+ years of database administration experience.
* High availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) methodology experience.
* Ability to work nonstandard hours and/or holidays as needed.
** WHAT WILL HELP
*** Microsoft Windows Server and/or LINUX experience
* Oracle applications experience.
* Cloud-based systems experience.
