Job DescriptionThe E-commerce Site Merchandiser plays a key role in shaping how customers experience our brand online. You’ll curate products and craft engaging digital journeys that make online shopping effortless and inspiring across multiple websites. This role blends creativity, strategy, and analytics, bringing together design, data, and customer insight to drive performance and growth. You’ll be part of a team that feels like family, committed to excellence, collaboration, and delivering an online experience our customers can trust and love.
ResponsibilitiesHere are some examples of the actual work your day would include.
- Own the customer journey mapping and on-site experience, ensuring every page, from homepage to checkout, drives engagement and conversion via desktop and mobile
- Analyze site and product performance using tools like Google Analytics, heatmaps, and A/B testing; generate reports and data-driven insights for conversion rate optimization (CRO) and user experience
- Site navigation/site search optimization (e.g., Search Spring) and product detail page optimization in partnership with the e-commerce team
- Collaborate with creative and marketing teams to align site content and product SEO strategies for maximum engagement
- Stay current on industry trends, customer preferences, and the competitor landscape to inform ongoing merchandising and site strategies
Don’t know about ponds? That’s ok! You’ll be trained to be proficient in your job. We utilize an interactive combination of hands‑on and visual training to ensure everyone has a full understanding of TPG, Inc.’s proactive approach to pond management.
Skill SetTo be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
- Proficient in Google Analytics, site dashboards, A/B split testing tools, and data analysis
- Proficient in User Experience (UX/UI) and SEO best practices
- Proficient with e-commerce platforms, CMS tools, and basic HTML for formatting and site updates
- Able to balance multiple projects while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Strategic mindset with the ability to plan long‑term merchandising improvements and growth initiatives
This position requires manual dexterity for typing, sitting at a desk, and looking at a computer screen for extended periods of time. In addition, portions of the position may require job shadowing and training, which includes physical activity of lifting 25‑35 pounds and standing for long periods.
