Director of Technology

Reports To: Clare-Gladwin RESD Superintendent

Location: Clare-Gladwin RESD Administration Building, 4041

E. Mann siding Rd, Clare, MI

Work Schedule: Full-time; 260 days

Salary Range: $96,182 or higher, based on education, experience and qualifications.

Starting Date: As soon as possible

The Director of Technology provides leadership and oversight for all technology systems, services, and staff across the Clare-Gladwin RESD and participating local districts. The role ensures technology initiatives support instructional, administrative, and operational goals while managing networks, infrastructure, hardware, software, and data center functions. The Director also oversees technology budgets, personnel, and contracted services while fostering collaboration and maintaining compliance with district policies and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in information technology systems, networking, or educational technology, including two (2) to three (3) years of supervisory or leadership experience is required.
• K-12 technology leadership experience and experience with managing educational networks and data systems preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License
• Possess a Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) Chief Technology Officer Certification or be willing to obtain certification within three (3) years of employment.
• CompTIA certifications such as A+, N+, Security+ and Project+ is preferred.
