Data Center Techniciantosupportthedeployment ,maintenance,andtroubleshootingofserver,storage,andnetworkinginfrastructurewithinourdatacenterenvironments.

The Level2

Data Center Technicianservesasatechnicalescalationpointfor Level1techniciansandisresponsiblefordiagnosingandresolvingcomplexhardwareissues ,supportingoperatingsystemandnetworktroubleshooting,performingremotehandsactivities,andassistingwithlarge-scaleinfrastructureprojects.

Thisrolerequiresstrongtechnicalknowledge,attentiontodetail,andtheabilitytoworkindependentlyinafast-pacedproductionenvironment.

• Install,rack,stack,andcableservers,storage systems,networkequipment,andrelatedinfrastructure.
• Troubleshootandreplacehardwarecomponentsincludingdrives,power supplies,memory,GPUs,RAID controllers,NICs,fans,andotherservercomponents.
• Executehardwaredecommissioningprojectsandvalidatedatawipeprocedures.

• Troubleshootnetworkconnectivityissuesusingstandarddiagnostictoolsandcommands.
• Verifyswitchports,VLANassignments,transceivers,andphysicalconnectivity.
• Perform cross-connects,patching,andcablemanagementaccordingtocompanystandards.

• Assist with Linuxserverinstallations,imaging,andbasicconfiguration.
• Supportcustomerimagedeploymentandvalidationactivities.

• Serveastheon-siteresourceforremoteengineersandcustomers.
• Performequipmentpowercycles,hardware replacements,console access,visualinspections,andtroubleshootingactivities.
• Executemaintenanceactivitieswhileensuringcustomerapprovalsandchangemanagementrequirementsaremet.
• Maintainaccurateassetrecordswithincompanysystems.
• Ensureequipmentisproperlylabeled,tracked,and documented.

• Escalateissuesto Engineeringorspecializedteamswhenappropriate.

• 2+yearsofdatacenter,server,IT infrastructure,orrelatedtechnicalexperience.
• UnderstandingofTCP/IPnetworkingfundamentals,VLANs,and Ethernet technologies.
• Experienceworkingin Linux environments.
• FamiliaritywithRAIDconfigurations,storage systems,andvirtualizationplatforms.
• Abilitytoliftandmoveequipmentweighingupto
  50pounds.
• Abilitytoworkindependentlywithminimalsupervision.

• ExperiencewithGPU-basedserverenvironments.
• ExperiencewithVMware,Hyper-V,orothervirtualizationplatforms.
• Familiarity with Net Box ,Jira,andassetmanagementsystems.
• Basicscriptingexperiencewith Bash,Power Shell,or Python.

Thebasesalaryrangeforthe DatacenterTechnicianII is $32-35/hrUSD.Thispayrangereflectsthebroad,minimumtomaximum,payrangeforthisjobforthelocationforwhichithasbeenposted.
