Director, Claims Property

We are seeking a senior claims leader responsible for setting strategy, driving operational performance, and leading a high-performing property claims organization. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across claim handling, customer experience, claim quality, compliance, loss cost management, expense discipline, and talent development. The ideal candidate is results driven, analytical, collaborative, and able to translate business priorities into measurable claims outcomes.

• Lead property claims operations with accountability for achieving financial, operational, customer, quality, compliance, and talent objectives.
• Develop and execute claims strategies that improve claim outcomes, reduce loss costs, manage expenses, and support long-term business goals.
• Establish and reinforce consistent claim handling practices, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Use data, analytics, claim trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.
• Partner cross-functionally to align claim strategy with enterprise priorities.
• Oversee complex and high-severity property claim issues, providing direction, escalation support, and decision-making guidance.
• Lead transformation initiatives that modernize claim workflows, improve customer and employee experiences, and increase operational efficiency.
• Build, coach, and retain a strong leadership team through clear expectations, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, customer focus, disciplined execution, and continuous learning.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting on claim performance, emerging risks, trends, initiatives, and business results.

• Claims leadership experience, including responsibility for operational results, claim quality, compliance, and people leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategy, execute plans, lead change, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of property claim coverage, estimating practices, regulatory requirements, vendor management, and catastrophe response.
• Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed or multi-functional teams in a fast-paced claims environment.
• Experience using performance dashboards, claim analytics, operational metrics, and financial data to make decisions and improve results.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and coaching skills.
