Town Manager position at International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Veterans

The Town of Lincoln, New Hampshire, with a year‑round residential population of approximately 1,600 and a peak seasonal population of 15,000, is seeking an experienced municipal manager to serve as its next Town Manager. Lincoln is located along the I‑93 corridor at the foot of New Hampshire’s White Mountains, just an hour north of the state’s capital, Concord. The well‑known Kancamagus Highway that traverses the White Mountain National Forest begins/ends in Lincoln.

The year‑round recreational opportunities, including the Loon Mountain Resort, set this community apart from other small quintessential New England communities. The Town Manager will oversee an operating budget of $10 M, 32 full‑time staff and an additional 35 part‑time/seasonal employees, and will provide the expected services to the town’s small residential base while also serving the thriving business community and surge of tourists on weekends/peak vacation times year‑round.

Under the policy direction of a three‑member Board of Selectmen, this strong manager position exercises all the authority conveyed by State RSA Chapter 37.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in public administration or related field, and seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in municipal management preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant management experience.

Salary:
Salary range to $130,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
