Parts Manager
General Motors Dealership | Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department. The ideal candidate will have strong automotive parts knowledge, dealership experience, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage inventory, profitability, and customer service.
Responsibilities- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the dealership Parts Department.
- Manage parts inventory, ordering, receiving, stocking, returns, and obsolescence.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and utilize GM RIM and other GM parts-management systems.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate Parts Department employees.
- Work closely with Service, Body Shop, and Sales departments to ensure parts are available when needed.
- Develop and maintain wholesale and retail parts business.
- Build strong relationships with GM, vendors, suppliers, and wholesale customers.
- Monitor department sales, gross profit, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure accurate billing, warranty parts procedures, and compliance with GM dealership standards.
- Maintain excellent customer service and resolve parts-related customer concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Parts Department.
- Previous automotive dealership Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience preferred.
- General Motors dealership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GM parts, catalogs, ordering systems, and dealership operations.
- Experience with GM RIM or similar inventory-management programs.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and control expenses.
- Strong leadership and employee-development skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Computer proficiency and experience with dealership management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment.
