Position: CNC Machinist 2
Location: Three Rivers

Responsibilities
  • Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculate requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; prove part programs.
  • Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, stock pushers; indicate vices; tramming heads.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first‑run part, and sample work pieces; adhere to international standards.
  • Maintain specifications by observing all machining operations; take measurements; detect malfunctions in the program; troubleshoot processes; adjust and reprogram controls; replace worn tools.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; follow manufacturer instructions; troubleshoot malfunctions; call for repairs.
  • Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publications.
  • Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards.
  • Work independently, building fixtures, tooling, and developing programs.
  • Other responsibilities may be added or assumed based on necessity.
Qualifications
  • Five years’ experience as a CNC Machinist.
  • Aerospace experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, building fixtures, tooling, and developing programs.
