2nd Shift CNC Machinist - 20% Shift Premium

ARCH Cutting Tools is seeking experienced machinists to join our team in Flushing. Must have experience in Haas, Fanuc CNC controls. Competitive wages and full benefit package. • Interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications.
• Set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts.
• Apply cutting tools for machining and calculate feeds, speeds, and depths of cut.
• Read and interpret CNC G‑code and programming languages.
• Understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath.
• Use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices and adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards.
• Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness.
• Keep surrounding work area clean and organized.

• Experience with Haas, Fanuc, or CNC controls required.
• Read blueprints and carry job instructions from Mastercam or CAD software.
• Perform simple to complicated mathematical processes.
• Monitor quality of parts produced and work internal quality control.
• Observe safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.

Education and/or

Experience:

Advanced education in CNC Machining or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.

Stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift up to 40 pounds. Close, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
