Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
- Perform quality checks on machined parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize performance and maintain product quality.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, or part defects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
- Ability to perform routine machine maintenance and identify common machining issues.
- Knowledge of various materials and appropriate cutting tools and parameters.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Solid Works CAM).
- Proficiency in advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, profilometers).
- Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
