Set-Up Technician; Third Shift

Job Description

Set-up Technician is primarily responsible for working from written work instructions and job specific written procedures to perform assigned tasks. The primary responsibilities of this position include basic machine set-up and operations of molding machines, semi-automatic and automatic equipment, and monitoring that equipment. Additionally, this role will require short-distance material handling of raw materials and finished goods.

• Load, start up, perform mold changes, color changes and operate molding machines, semi-automatic assembly machines, automatic assembly machines, or manual assembly machines per setup instructions;
  Shut down machines when necessary.
• Perform visual and functional quality inspection at predetermined intervals to assure product quality meets standards.
• Perform material handling, monitor auxiliary equipment, and minor maintenance as required.
• Perform gaging as necessary to assure product meets dimensional standards.
• Correctly label products and palletize for transfer to next operation.
• Maintain accurate documentation to meet job requirements.
• Communicate with prior and oncoming shifts to achieve production requirements and promote awareness.
• Communicate any Machine/Quality issues immediately to supervisor.
• Promote safety by abiding to all related policies and procedures of ITW Dahti Seating.
• Follows all procedures as outlined by ISO 9001 and OSHA.
• Complete all additional tasks, as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in Manufacturing; experience working in plastic injection molding is a plus.
• Basic math skills and reasoning ability.
• Must be able to stand / walk for a full manufacturing shift.
• Able to lift to 55 lbs. occasionally, with or without assistance.
• Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic.
• Good Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.

$23.80 plus 10% shift premium (total: $26.18)
