Fabricator Technician

Reports to:

Fabricator Team Leader / Director of Operations. Department:
Operations.

Responsible for custom fabrication of customer’s trucks.

• Support all daily functions of the shop.
• Fabricate, modify, and install truck bodies and equipment to chassis.
• Utilize tools such as torches, shears, punch presses, drill press, metal cutting saws.
• Fabricate parts as needed.
• Weld ferrous and nonferrous metals using MIG or Arc (electrode) techniques.
• Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

• General comprehension and experience in the truck build-up process.
• General understanding of truck components.
• Experience with welding/fabrication.
• Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision.
• Working knowledge of basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Working knowledge of company software and procedures.
• Great attitude and ability to work with others.
• Good communication skills, written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current regular driver’s license to move our vehicles.
• Overhead crane operator certification.

• Sitting, crouching, kneeling.
• Heavy lifting; 30 pounds or more.
• Twisting, bending, reaching, and stretching.
• Long periods of standing.
• Exposure to shop noise and dust.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
• Exposure to hot and cold temperatures.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must have a current driver’s license to move our vehicles.
• Must be able to work 7am-5pm shifts Monday through Friday and 7am-11am shifts two Saturdays a month.

$24 - $27 per hour
