We're looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator working as part of quarry operations to produce aggregate and construction materials. Quarry operations include maintaining and operating the processing plant, (crushers, screens, wash-plants) operating loaders to feed the processing plant and assisting in the stockpile and load-out of finished product. Crush/wash Operators are responsible for operating several types of construction equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
This equipment may include, but is not limited to, loaders, skid steers, water trucks, man lifts, dozers and excavators
- Operate equipment in a safe and productive manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment.
- Communicate plant site issues with the Foreman and Mine Management while performing daily inspections of the plant site.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work site including shoveling and skid steer operation
- Assist in plant maintenance and repairs including labor work, cutting, fabricating and welding.
- Follow proper safety procedures, including incident reporting.
- Other duties as assigned.

Location:
- This position is supporting Aggregate operations primarily in the Beaver dam North to Michigan area, but may periodically travel to other areas if needed, so reliable transportation and a willingness to travel is required.
- Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record
- Must be punctual and dependable
- A CDL is desired but not necessary
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Able to work varied hours including nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed
- Some welding, fabrication and repair experience is preferred
- Be able to tolerate and work in variable weather conditions, and work in dirty and dusty environments, including heights over 50'
- Member of the appropriate trade union or willingness to become a union member are required. Union membership may not be required prior to employment. Our Human Resources Department is able to assist in that process as needed
