Shift Recycling Supervisor

We are seeking a Shift Recycling Supervisor to join East Jordan Plastics, Inc.

We have an immediate opening for a Day Shift Recycling Supervisor who is enthusiastic and looking to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Plan and organize daily/weekly schedules with available resources to best meet shift goals with safety and quality being the focus
• Monitor workloads and employee utilization
• Monitor sort, wash/dry, and grinding processes for quality and rates per hour
• Oversee pelletizing process and check for quality mix and process rates
• Take a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental, and ergonomics
• Coach, mentor, and train team members for improved job performance and career advancement
• Work with all departments to ensure safe working equipment and production of product
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Must be able to bend, twist, climb, stand, and lift items of up to 50lb
• Must be able to pass a background check, physical and drug screen

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ supervisory experience
• 1-3 years’ experience in recycling plastics (PS, PP, and HDPE)
• Able to work 12 hr. rotational shifts (Continental Schedule – 2/2/3)
