Position: CNC Machinist, 2nd Shift - Three 12-hour days, weekday shift
Location: Wallace

CNC Machinist – 2nd Shift (Three 12‑hour days, weekday shift)

Advanced Blending Solutions is seeking a full‑time CNC Machinist to join our 2nd shift production team. The position works Monday–Wednesday from 2:30 PM to 3 AM, totaling 36 hours per week with the following schedule.

Shift schedule: Monday–Wednesday 2:30 PM–3 AM; rest of week off.

Pay: $22.75 /hr - $22.75 /hr (starting pay $22.75+ depending on experience). In lieu of a shift premium, this position works 36 hours and gets paid 40.

About Advanced Blending Solutions: Based in rural Menominee County, MI, ABS is a privately owned full‑service designer and manufacturer of blending and convey equipment for the plastics industry. We have state‑of‑the‑art fabrication, machining, and panel‑building facilities in Wallace.

Key responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate numerically controlled CNC machining equipment.
  • Select tooling and set up vises and fixtures for part runs.
  • Conduct setup and tear‑down for short‑run production.
  • Check stock levels to ensure inventory for jobs.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and verify specifications.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine repairs.
  • Monitor equipment and materials to maintain safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, tape measures).
  • Organized, accurate, and detail oriented.
  • Efficient time management.
  • Effective verbal communication.
  • Complete forklift training within 30 days.
  • Lift up to 25 lb frequently; 50 lb occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years CNC machining experience and/or associate’s degree in a related field.
