Production Manager – Dairy Manufacturing

Location: Deford

Responsibilities Lead daily production operations, overseeing supervisors and production teams to meet customer requirements while achieving cost, quality, and safety objectives

Monitor operational performance and key metrics, identify deficiencies, resolve production issues, and drive improvements in efficiency and cost control

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with company policies, GMPs, food safety, sanitation, quality, and regulatory requirements

Promote a safe and compliant workplace by supporting safety programs, maintaining readiness for regulatory inspections, and ensuring adherence to company, state, and federal safety requirements

Manage and develop production employees, including recruiting, scheduling, training, performance evaluations, discipline, and employee relations in partnership with HR and plant leadership

Support overall plant administration and communication, including management meetings, inventory and purchasing oversight, operational reporting, and clear communication of policies and priorities to employees

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred5–8 years of experience in a dairy manufacturing environment

Proven supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing setting

Strong background in leading teams and supporting manufacturing operations

Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and/or licenses during employment
