Cardinal Staffing Services is immediately hiring experienced Forklift Operators for a leading automotive manufacturing facility in Delta Township, Michigan! If you have forklift experience, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in being a dependable, safety-conscious team member, we want to hear from you. These are long-term, temp-to-hire opportunities offering the potential to transition into a permanent position with the client.

We are currently recruiting for both first and third shifts, with schedules that may include up to 12-hour workdays, 5–6 days per week.

Competitive pay:
Earn $21.50–$22.50 per hour, depending on the position. Pay increase upon hire-in:
Receive a $2.00 per hour increase upon transitioning to permanent employment with the client, according to the applicable hire-in terms. Multiple shifts available:

As a Forklift Operator, you will play an important role in keeping production and material flow running efficiently. Safely operating a forklift to move, transport, stage, and position materials throughout the facility. Loading, unloading, and relocating materials, components, and production supplies as needed. Supplying production areas with the materials necessary to maintain workflow and minimize downtime. Following all facility safety procedures, operating guidelines, and material-handling requirements.

Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to support daily operations. Maintaining awareness of your surroundings and operating equipment responsibly in a busy manufacturing environment. Identifying potential issues, resolving routine problems when appropriate, and communicating concerns promptly. Maintaining dependable attendance and supporting production goals in a demanding, team-focused workplace.

Must be nicotine free. Must be able to work overtime and weekends. Previous forklift operating experience — required. Automotive manufacturing or automotive material-handling experience — preferred. The ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. A proactive, solution-oriented approach to daily tasks and workplace challenges. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safe equipment operation. The ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Availability to work the assigned first- or third-shift schedule, including extended shifts and potential weekend work. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
