Position Purpose- Registered Nurse opportunity as a Nurse Manager at Chelsea Hospital managing Endoscopy and the Pain Clinic.
- The Nurse Manager serves as a member of the organization’s nursing leadership team. Responsible for day-to-day operations, scheduling, staffing and providing 24/7 accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services of one or more clinical areas.
- Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care.
- State of Michigan Registered Nursing license required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree required. Appropriate master’s degree in nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in an ICU / Critical Care area.
- BLS and ACLS required.
- Participates in nursing leadership team to develop strategic plans, goals, standards of care, and operating plans.
- Collaborates with inter-professional team on unit budgets and resource planning.
- Leads performance improvement initiatives for colleague engagement, patient experience, safety, clinical outcomes, and financial targets.
- Manages education, competencies, orientation, retention, and coaching to maintain safe, quality care.
- Ensures recruitment, development, mentoring, and succession planning for engaged nursing staff; promotes shared leadership.
- Participates in evaluating and integrating healthcare technology and information systems.
- Partners with Director of Nursing and team to implement evidence-based programs, policies, and protocols for continuous improvement.
- Communicates regularly with nursing leaders and staff on patient safety, quality, engagement, and satisfaction; develops action plans as needed.
