Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Munson Healthcare is seeking a part‑time (0.6 FTE) Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our Charlevoix clinic. Travel to other regional sites may be required as needed.

• Patient navigation – Point person in collaboration with the clinical navigator for a specific group of patients; maintain efficient relationships with all physician specialists involved in oncology care.
• Multi‑disciplinary clinics – Coordinate physician specialist and ancillary services; communicate with patient and other providers regarding plan of care; facilitate multi‑disciplinary tumor conferences and supervise clinical navigators for assigned tumor sites.
• Affiliate infusion sites/oncology clinics – Coordinate close‑to‑home care; liaise with affiliate sites for clinical consultation and direction.
• Survivorship care – Work with patient, oncology physician(s), and primary care providers to develop individualized survivorship plans.
• Clinical trials – Maintain knowledge of available trials and support patient enrollment and ongoing study requirements.
• Development of new alliances and processes – Seek partnerships to promote a culture of research in the oncology program.

Education / Training: Master’s Degree in Nursing OR a Master’s in Physician Assistant studies.

Work Experience: Experience in oncology is preferred but not required.

Certification, Licensure, Registration:

• State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license required.
• Certification as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) within two years of hire.
• At least 90 oncology continuing education hours within the past 5 years and maintenance of practice and education requirements as outlined by ONCC for the AOCNP certification.

Vaccination Requirement: All employees must be vaccinated or have lab‑confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella. A flu vaccine is required during flu season for all employees, with annual boosters thereafter or an approved medical or religious exemption.
