Position: Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Location: Traverse

Answer the call to lead compassionate care as a Licensed Practical Nurse specializing in Long-Term Care, and embark on a travel nursing assignment built to elevate your practice while expanding your horizons. Beginning 12/08/2025, you’ll join a dedicated team delivering patient-centered care in long-term care settings, with the opportunity to support residents across Michigan and, when desired, beyond the state lines.

This role is for professionals who measure success in comfort, dignity, and measurable improvement in daily living, and who thrive in a supportive environment where your clinical judgment matters. Traverse City, Michigan, a jewel on the shores of Lake Michigan, invites you to bring your expertise to a community known for its natural beauty—from sparkling beaches to rolling vineyards and the iconic Sleeping Bear Dunes—while you grow your career and make a lasting impact on residents and families.

This is a contract travel position with a duration measured in weeks, designed to fit your appetite for variety and professional development, while providing a stable weekly schedule and meaningful responsibilities that honor your skills.

Working in Traverse City offers a unique blend of small-town friendliness and big-city access to cultural events, outdoor adventures, and top-tier healthcare facilities. You’ll enjoy manageable patient loads, collaborative teams, and a schedule that respects your need for balance. For those who love travel, the position also provides opportunities to work in various locations across the U.S., letting you savor new communities, cuisines, and landmarks while expanding your professional network.

In Michigan and beyond, you’ll experience diverse facility types, from tranquil suburban campuses to vibrant urban centers, each presenting its own clinical challenges and learning moments. The region’s access to lakes, forests, and trails provides after-shift recreation that recharges you for the next day’s rounds, making it easy to pursue hobbies and make lasting memories while advancing your career.

Core responsibilities include providing hands‑on nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse, medication administration and reconciliation, monitoring vital signs, wound care, diabetic and insulin management, and assistance with activities of daily living. You’ll support care planning, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, ensure fall prevention strategies, and document care in electronic health records with accuracy and timeliness. The role offers pathways for professional growth in geriatrics and long‑term care, including enhanced assessment skills, chronic disease management, and specialty training in palliative care and complex-care planning.

We offer competitive compensation with a guaranteed 36.0 hours per week, plus a weekly pay range of $1,337–$1,432. You’ll receive a bonus tied to performance and tenure, comprehensive housing assistance to secure comfortable lodging near your assignment, and extension opportunities that allow you to build continuity with facilities you love. Importantly, you’ll have 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, ensuring you’re never navigating a shift alone, no matter where your assignment takes you.

Our company is built on empowering staff, promoting consistent career advancement, and fostering a supportive work culture where your expertise is respected and your growth is prioritized. We invest in your well‑being with reliable scheduling, thorough onboarding, and ongoing mentorship, so you can sharpen your clinical skills and advance to higher responsibilities within the long‑term care continuum. This commitment extends to facilitating seamless relocations, providing resource networks for your housing needs, and ensuring you feel valued as you broaden your professional footprint—whether you stay on the same campus for an extended period or explore new communities through contracted extensions.

Ready to apply? Join a company that values your contribution and your professional development, and start a journey that blends meaningful resident care with the adventure of travel. Begin your Traverse City assignment on 12/08/2025 and explore additional U.S. locations through contract extensions that fit your goals.
