Registered Nurse

Copper Country Community Mental Health is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to join their Outpatient and Residential Services team in Houghton, Michigan
. In this role, you'll work alongside psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to provide nursing care and support to individuals receiving community-based mental health services. You'll split your time between an office setting and supporting residents in our group homes, helping individuals receive the care they need.

• $63,335 - $80,348 annual starting salary based on licensure and experience.

• Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule, generally 8 AM-5 PM, with a shared rotating on-call assignment.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient health, including obtaining vital signs and administering injections.
• Assess patient needs, respond to concerns, and provide nursing support in outpatient and residential settings.
• Triage incoming phone calls, assess medical concerns, and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain accurate, confidential electronic medical records.
• Communicate and coordinate with community healthcare providers to support continuity of care.
• Participate in a shared, rotating on-call schedule.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Previous experience in mental health services is helpful, but not required.
  
  Comfortable working with individuals receiving mental health services in both outpatient and residential settings.
• Good communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and Ontonagon Counties as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background screening.
