? We’re looking for a detail-driven Quality Engineer to champion inspection and submission processes for custom injection molded products—guiding projects from kickoff to production approval with precision and pride.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive inspection plans for both internal and external First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Program advanced measuring equipment for First Article Inspection data generation.
- Perform FAIs using standard quality measurement tools.
- Lead the APQP process, including PFMEAs, work instructions, control plans, and final inspections.
- Drive quality initiatives throughout development, verification, validation, design transfer, and release stages—ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Manage supplier PPAP submissions and approvals.
- Coordinate with quality teams and communicate product risks through stage gate processes.
- Track supplier issues and implement corrective actions to maintain quality benchmarks.
- Review material test data to ensure alignment with Quality System Standards.
- Provide technical support to team members in resolving quality-related issues.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate Degree in Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in a quality-related field.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Plastic Injection Molding experience is a strong plus.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Quality Auditor
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification
Technical and Functional
Skills:
- Proficient in mechanical measurement techniques and blueprint interpretation.
- Strong math, algebra, and statistical analysis skills.
- Familiarity with PFMEAs, APQP, and root cause analysis.
- Programming experience with CMM and Smartscope preferred (training available).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills; ERP experience preferred but not required.
Communication and Leadership:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative, proactive, and able to lead by example.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, adaptable, and customer-focused.
