TheQCInspectoristheprimaryQAinterfacesupportingmanufacturingbyinspectingproducts and processes for conformity to specifications.
The QC inspector will followthroughonpreventativeandcorrectiveactionplansasdirectedbythe
Quality Manager
The QC Inspector ensure quality of manufactured goods by performing inspections ofpurchasedparts,subassembliesorfinishedgoodsaccordingtowelldefinedcriteriausingstandardphysical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
The Inspector with be responsible for performing various verifications including- quickvisual inspections, perform complex tests using high precision instruments, gages and equipment,testmeasureandanalyzeproducts&performsampletesting.
Theinspectorwould have to accurately document results of performed inspections as per the Quality Management System .
- Performsincoming,in-process,final inspections,productandprocessaudits
- Performs and documents accurate measurements and visual inspections as per Control
Plan criteria - Discussinspectionresultswiththoseresponsibleforproducts,andrecommendnecessarycorrectiveactions
- Evaluatesandreports waste/scrap
- Ensuresproductisproducedtoqualitystandardsandworksforconformancetospecification
- Determinesacceptability,identifiesandrecommendsdispositionofdefectiveitems in accordance with established procedures; initiate Non-Conformance Reports as required
- Assistsinperformingcapabilitystudiesand Measurementsystemanalysis
- Carriesoutwrittenandverbalinstructionstosupportqualityprocesses
- Collaborates with Shift Leader sand Quality Engineerstoresolvequalityconcerns .
- Ensuresthatqualitysystemstandardsaremaintained
maintainingrequiredlogs,containmentreports
- Worksindependentlyoraspartofateam,acceptingreassignmentofdutiesasmay be necessary.
- Flexibilitytochangetheshiftifrequired
- Minimumsecondaryschooldiploma
- 2 years working experience in quality control, preferable from plastic processingindustry
- Communitycollegeeducationinthequalityfieldispreferred
- ASQcertified Quality Inspector (CQI) wouldbeanasset.
- Basicunderstandingofstatisticalprocesscontrol
- Detail oriented,havetheabilitytomaintainaccuraterecordsincludingtransferringdatato electronic files.
- Goodorganizationalandcommunicationskills
- Stronganalyticalandcriticalthinkingskills.
- Basiccomputerskillsand Proficientwithsoftwareapplicationsapplicabletothejob
- Ensurescomplianceto IATF
