Food Service Worker​/Cashier; On Call

Overview

We are hiring immediately for on call FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions.

Reese Public School - 1696 Van Buren, Reese, MI 48757.

Schedule:

On call schedule. 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. Days may vary; further details upon interview. Pay Range: $12.50 per hour to $12.75 per hour. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available.

We are a part of Chartwells K12, a Compass Group company.

• Perform cashiering duties and general food service work.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
• Assist with prep work: washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Transport food, supplies and equipment between stations safely and efficiently.
• Store foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating, and food safety practices.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils; ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner and resolve questions or concerns professionally.
• Relay relevant information to the supervisor and perform sales transactions.
• Enter sales into the cash register and handle payments and refunds according to procedures.
• Manage cash drawer, including change funds and cash receipts; assist with cash control standards.
• Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous food service and customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work on an on-call schedule and communicate effectively with the team.
