Restaurant​/Food Service, Bar​/Bartender, Food & Beverage

The Bar Manager oversees all aspects of bar operations, ensuring high-quality service, responsible alcohol management, and a fun, professional atmosphere. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, and plays a key part in supporting the overall guest experience at Lakeside Social.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Bar Operations

  • Open and close the bar according to company procedures

  • Ensure bar is stocked, clean, and ready for service at all times

  • Prepare and serve beverages quickly and accurately

  • Maintain clean bar area, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health and safety guidelines

• Team Leadership & Customer Service

  • Supervise and support bartenders and barbacks during shifts

  • Train new bar staff and ensure consistent adherence to drink recipes and service standards

  • Foster a welcoming, professional atmosphere behind the bar

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and handle guest concerns or complaints professionally

• Inventory & Ordering

  • Monitor and track bar inventory including liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and bar supplies

  • Communicate low stock levels and assist in placing weekly orders

  • Receive and organize bar deliveries

• Cash Handling & Reporting

  • Operate POS system accurately and efficiently

  • Track daily sales and tip reports

  • Close out bar registers and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed

• Alcohol Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding alcohol service

  • Enforce responsible alcohol service and monitor guest behavior

  • Maintain valid certifications (e.g., alcohol server/seller permit)

• Event Support

  • Coordinate bar setup and service for events and private parties

  • Create or suggest specialty drink menus for events or promotions
