Part-Time:16–35 hrs/week | $15-$16.50/hour | Early/Daytime Shifts

Help prepare the food behind one of Frankenmuth’s most well-known dining traditions!

Bavarian Inn Restaurant serves more than half a million family-style chicken dinners eachyear — and our Meat Department helps make that possible. This entry-level position works behind the scenes preparing the chicken, meats, and seafood served throughout our Restaurant.

You do not needto come to us with previous butcher or meat-cutting experience. We provide training! You do need to be comfortable learning to safely operate a bandsaw,which is used regularly to cut a high volume of chicken.

This is a greatfit for someone who enjoys hands-on, active work, likes an earlier schedule,and takes pride in being part of a team.

What You’ll Do

Prepare raw chicken, meats, and seafood by cleaning, trimming, cutting, portioning, and breading products
Learn to safely operate a bandsaw to cut high volumes of chicken
Use knives andother food-preparation equipment as trained
Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas
Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
Work with yourteam to keep our kitchens stocked and ready to serve our guests

What We’re Looking For

Must be 18years of age or older
No previous meat-cutting experience required
Comfortable working with raw poultry, meat, and seafood
Comfortable learning to safely operate a bandsaw and other meat-preparation equipment
Able to lift,push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Able to standand walk for extended periods, including shifts of 8+ hours
Dependable,safety-minded, and ready to learn
