PayBase pay range: $16.00/yr – $16.00/yr (actual pay will be based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter)

Education / ExperienceMust be at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma, a GED or equivalent experience. No experience necessary.
Computer experience required with report writing experience preferred. All drivers must possess a valid Michigan driver's license and be insurable by the tribe's insurance company.
CertificationsComplete CPR and AED training program during the first year of employment and maintain certification throughout employment. Other certification may be required at the discretion of GTRC based on business needs.
Essential Job Functions- Patrol and monitor all areas of the operation.
- Check and validate ’s of patrons entering the casino for permitted access.
- Validate photo identifications to uphold the prohibition of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
- Record and inform guests for cut-offs and length of removal from property.
- Security Check In: check all identifications and packages during facility entry/exit; assist in issuing vendors with appropriate day passes.
- Be familiar with all emergency plans and provide assistance during emergencies.
- Provide escort for money transactions.
- Secure, inventory, process, investigate and destroy cards and/or dice.
- Investigate all injuries and incidents; contact Tribal Police for criminal issues.
- Manage crowd control and control intoxicated or unruly individuals.
- Provide transportation for injured employees requiring medical attention and may transport VIP guests.
- Manage and oversee Cage with TITO machines and monitor gaming machines and ATMs.
- Provide first-aid or medical emergency assistance.
- Provide security oversight to Table Games and Slot Departments, including payouts, credits and failures.
- Provide oversight control of Count Teams with escorts and verification of “clear” machines and assets.
- Generate and properly record reports on daily activities, incident reports, monitoring reports, break-in procedure and other reports.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment and compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards.
- Remove unwanted individuals from the property and report violations to immediate supervisor.
- Secure all casino assets including property, equipment, cash and equivalence.
- Willingness to cross-train and provide support in related areas of security operations.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills and Abilities
Must have excellent customer service and communication skills (verbal and written). Must be a team player with a positive attitude, highly organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Must possess strong math and currency skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, and respond to supervisory guidance and constructive criticism.

Equipment to be UsedDefibrillators, emergency jump kits, two‑way radio, flashlights, copiers, computers, multi‑line phones, standard office equipment, and security vehicle.
Typical Physical DemandsMay need to lift heavy objects, stand, walk, reach, grab, grip, bend, kneel, sit, run, crouch, lift and carry. Must have corrected vision and hearing and be able to read/write reports.
Typical Mental DemandsMust handle stressful situations, difficult people, and work under strict time restraints with variable deadlines.
Working ConditionsWork in a crowded, loud, smoking environment; outdoor work in varying temperatures; flexible schedules; constant surveillance; small enclosed spaces; practice safety policies, procedures and tribal code.
CommentsMust adhere to company policies regarding strict confidentiality. Management retains the right to add or change duties of the position at any time. Any qualification equivalent to stated minimums requires prior approval of the Director of Human Resources.
