Overview

To be an employee of Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland you must be 21 years of age or over. The Security First Responder will administer first aid and transport sick or injured persons to medical facilities while also performing duties reserved for the Security Ambassador.

The Ambassador ensures the safety and security of guests, team members, and company assets, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive can‑do attitude.

Responsibilities
  • Perform security duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Respond to and administer emergency first aid: determine the nature and extent of illness or injury, establish first‑aid procedures, or request additional assistance based on the situation.
  • Administer approved first‑aid treatment on site or in a specially equipped vehicle (splinting, oxygen, IV injections, wound care, artificial resuscitation).
  • Communicate with professional medical personnel at treatment facilities to obtain instructions for further care.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports accurately and in a timely manner. Input key data into the computer to maintain records.
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, reporting safety hazards.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills to Help You Succeed
  • Ability to write detailed reports.
  • Ability to use a telephone properly.
  • Ability to read and understand memos.
  • Knowledge of emergency trauma and public‑relations/customer‑service skills.
  • Knowledge of universal standards for exposure to blood.
  • Knowledge of required OSHA regulations.
  • Ability to perform duties under frequent time pressure in a disruptive environment.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Certification as an emergency medical technician.
  • Two (2) years’ experience as an Emergency Medical Responder or Emergency Medical Technician in an ambulance service, military, or medical facility.
  • Ability to comply with all state gaming regulations, including obtaining a license if required.
  • Comfortable working in an alcohol‑ and smoke‑containing environment.
  • Ability to secure and maintain licensure required by applicable regulatory entities or Live’s operating standards.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold).
  • Ability to run, stoop, bend, and reach outward and above the head.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to ride a bicycle.
  • Ability to operate and ride a Segway and/or other vehicles.
