Lead Carpenter, Residential

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Carpenter to join our residential construction team. The ideal candidate is a skilled craftsperson with strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship. This role oversees on-site carpentry operations and ensures that each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise carpenters and laborers on residential building projects
• Coordinate daily work activities, schedule tasks, and communicate project goals
• Interpret and review blueprints, plans, and specifications
• Perform high-level carpentry work including framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, doors, windows, siding, and structural installations
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to local building codes
• Train, mentor, and support team members to improve skill development
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and enforce jobsite safety procedures
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and homeowners
• Track project progress, monitor materials, and assist in ordering supplies
• Troubleshoot on-site challenges and provide solutions
• Communicate clearly with clients when needed to represent the company professionally

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of residential carpentry experience, including leadership or crew-lead roles
• Advanced knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and building codes
• Proficient with all carpentry tools, equipment, and measurement techniques
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent communication and team-leadership abilities
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights when required
• Commitment to craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism

Compensation:$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
