Position
At Kanaan Communications, LLC, as a Copper Splicer, you’ll connect and maintain copper wire networks for telecommunications, ensuring reliable phone and internet services by skillfully splicing and repairing connections.

- Perform cable upgrades and splicing tasks both aerial and underground
- Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment post-installation
- Ensure all splicing operations meet strict customer and industry standards
- Safely navigate working at different heights, from underground to in the air
- Complete basic daily maintenance of vehicles, including fluid checks
- Document work performed through daily production reports, including marking up maps and keeping correct material usage records
- Other duties as assigned
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
- Valid State driver's license (non-provisional) with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam resulting in a valid medical card
- Six months of copper splicing experience or one year in telecommunications
- Certified pole climber or ability to demonstrate pole climbing proficiency is preferred
- Operate vehicles and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, lift >55 lbs
- Occasionally work in confined spaces, use ladder, keyboard, and mouse
$35.00 - $45.00
